The happenings

Doesn't life just seem to get by us sometimes? I log onto my blog to see that it has been over 20 days since my last post. It leaves me thinking about what has been happening in this sweet lil life of mine to make 20 days seem like a blink. I wish I could capture it for you. That sweet little boy of mine is growing, changing, exercising his free will, and eating us out of house and home. He couldnt be more passionate, joyful, and silly. Sometimes I look at him and wonder where his passion comes from, so intense and emotional. He feels things. What a challenge to embrace his emotion. What a blessing. Both my cousin and a dear friend of mine had to send their 7 week old babies into major surgery. Something that should never be. Bennett and I took a trip to visit my girls. Bennett cried the entire flight home. The girls and I acted like we were in college again, but at the same time realized that we are not. Our lives are filled with burp cloths, strollers, and tantrums. We are learning to journey together as mommys. So different than our late-night, burrito-eating, fly by the seat of your pants days. No better, no worse. Just different. Bennett got new elmo ("melmo") pjs. I decided that chai tea is a morning must. The hubs and I went on a much needed date night and actually had adult conversation (after we swapped Bennett stories of course...ha!) The days are full and lovely. So thankful for all of the little things.
